This past year, the Grizzlies have donated tickets and memorabilia to over 500 non-profit organizations and charities. These donations are most often used for auctions and raffles to help organizations raise necessary funds for various needs. Not only have the Grizzlies donated to schools, churches, little leagues and Cub/Girl Scout Packs, but the Grizzlies also contributed to organizations like area Chambers of Commerce, the local Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs and different civic groups. Over the year, monetary donations have estimated $15,500!
Due to the high volume of requests, the Grizzlies Community Fund assists only local in-state charitable groups and asks for each organization to submit their request 30 days prior to fundraiser event. Requests should be limited to one per calendar year.
To seek a donation: 1. All requests must be put in writing 2. Please submit a letter on organizational letterhead seeking a request for a donation 3. The request letter must outline your non-profit organization a) Give a tax ID number b) Explain event details c) What the donation would be used for (example: silent auction, raffle, etc) 4. Don't forget to include all correct contact information (name, address, phone, etc.)
All donation requests that are filled by the Grizzlies Community Fund will be mailed out to the contact information provided in the request letter. Send donation request to: The Grizzlies Community Fund, Donation Request, 1800 Tulare Street, Fresno, CA 93721.
